As the sleek styling of rims go towards thin spokes or designs that expose what's behind those gorgeous rims , your vehicle’s brake parts are standing out and many times the original manufacturers are not paying enough attention to them. Fortunately we are here to transcend from the stock grey to eye popping colour. And we do it while maintaining a look that looks like it was made by the manufacturer.
If you’ve put in the creativity and effort to customize just the right look for your vehicle, make sure not to overlook the final details to make your wheels stand out. Flaunt your style with professionally painted brake calipers.
You have a wide array of options when it comes to the colour. The paint we use is made for very high temperatures which is ideal for your brake caliper painting. We have your standard colours and then custom colours we can make on special order from Bugatti blue to Lamborghini lime green.
Now that you have chosen your colour we can move on to the decals, popular logos like Brembo, AMG, or the manufacturer’s logo for your car can be added to painted brake calipers to retain or replicate a legitimate manufacturer look. We can even go custom in this situation, perhaps you want a personal brand on your calipers. We got you!
We have a strict process when it comes to brake caliper painting. First and foremost we give them a through clean with water, soap, iron decon and brake cleaner.
If the brake caliper is fairly new and there are no signs of rust, we opt for a light sanding with a scotch pad for adhesion promotion. We move straight to primer after this step.
If there is rust, we use a special abrasive on a grinder that removes only rust and old paint. This ensures we are not removing any metal from the calipers. Finally sandpaper is used to get at any spots we were unable to get to with the grinder. We will glaze some rust converter on the caliper which dries to primer just to be safe as well.
Before painting we mask off the car so we will not encounter any overspray. After this we begin the painting process. Initially we use three coats of high temperature primer. Followed by 3 coats of paint to ensure that there is excellent coverage and then we add the decals if they were requested. Lastly we add two coats of clear coat to complete the process.
Brake caliper painting has functional benefits in addition to upgrading your ride’s style. As calipers age, they accumulate stubborn brake dust, road dirt and worse rust. A fresh coat of paint will help decrease the time to clean them, protect it from rust and the obvious, keep them looking stunning.
