WHY POWDER COATING
Why Powder Coat Your Rims?
Powder coating isn't just a colour change—it's a serious upgrade in durability and protection for your wheels.
Superior Durability
Powder coating creates a finish 2-3x thicker than conventional paint. The electrostatically bonded coating resists chipping, scratching, and peeling—even from road debris and curb contact.
Corrosion Resistance
Toronto's road salt and winter conditions are brutal on wheels. Powder coating seals the surface against moisture, salt, and chemical contaminants that cause corrosion and pitting over time.
Uniform Finish
The electrostatic application process ensures even coverage on every surface—including hard-to-reach areas behind spokes. No drips, no runs, no thin spots.
Heat Resistant
Powder coating withstands the heat generated by braking without discolouring or degrading. Your rims stay looking fresh even under demanding driving conditions.
Easy Maintenance
The smooth, hard surface makes cleaning simple. Brake dust and road grime wipe off easily without harsh chemicals. A regular wash keeps your wheels looking like new.
Colour Options
From classic gloss black to custom colours, metallics, and satin finishes—powder coating opens up a world of options that traditional rim paint can't match.
OUR PROCESS
How We Powder Coat Your Rims
Every set of rims follows our proven multi-step process for a flawless, long-lasting finish.
Inspection & Assessment
We inspect each rim for curb damage, corrosion, cracks, and bends. We'll let you know if any repairs are needed before coating and provide a complete quote.
Stripping & Repair
Old paint, clear coat, and corrosion are completely stripped from the rims. Any curb damage is repaired, and the surface is sanded smooth to create the ideal base for powder coating.
Powder Application
Using an electrostatic spray gun, we apply the powder coat evenly across every surface. The charged particles wrap around the rim, ensuring complete coverage—even in hard-to-reach areas behind spokes and inside barrel surfaces.
Oven Curing & Clear Coat
The coated rims are placed in a curing oven where the powder melts, flows, and bonds permanently to the surface. A clear coat layer is applied for additional protection and gloss. The result is a rock-hard, uniform finish.
Quality Check & Reinstallation
Every rim is inspected for finish consistency, colour accuracy, and surface quality. Once approved, we mount your tires and reinstall the wheels on your vehicle. You drive away with a set of wheels that look brand new.
